This beautifully put-together book is the first hard copy of Simon Crompton's renowned website Permanent Style, the foremost authority on classic and luxury menswear.
Limited to 2000 copies, with hand-numbered by the author, the magazine-sized publication has been designed by London agency Egelnick & Webb, and is printed on matte-finished art paper.
It contains the best articles from Permanent Style over the previous year, together with imagery from photographer Luke Carby. These shots, necessarily reduced in size and resolution on the website, are brought to life in this larger format, enabling the reader to see all the detail of a denim cloth, a leather patina or a gas furnace.
Permanent Style 2015 is divided into five sections, representing the best of factory visits, style, bespoke projects, reader questions and ready-to-wear brands. Each contains a smattering of photos that never appeared on the website, along with explanatory captions. Given its limited run and individual numbering, the book is sure to become a collector’s item.
