This exquisite Vintage Extremely Rare Cartier Solid 925 Sterling iconic Double C solid 18k with 16 Natural Cartier Diamond Set Lighter is a true collector’s piece, crafted in the 1970's and representing one of Cartier’s rarest Oval-shaped designs.

A standout from the Must de Cartier series, this lighter features a stunning pattern made with solid 925 Silver with hallmarks and Diamond Set on Brand Famous Double C icon, exuding elegance and sophistication. Its unique Oval shape sets it apart as a rare and distinguished collectible.

Cartier made only few from this model! This is the only Cartier lighter with diamond set from the Must de Cartier ever produced.

Cartier produced a limited number of solid silver lighters and gold in the early '70s and some in the early '80s. Crafting these pieces required meticulous handwork, as working with solid sterling silver and natural lacquer was an art that took hours. Due to the high production costs, Cartier made only a small batch and never produced them ever again.

Everyday Usability – Despite its rarity, it’s built for practical use.

On certain Cartier solid silver models featuring 18k gold accents, the gold components may not carry a visible hallmark. This is intentional. During production, Cartier’s artisans sometimes chose not to stamp hallmarks on highly visible gold elements in order to preserve the clean lines and refined aesthetic of the design.

Applying a hallmark on these polished surfaces could interrupt the visual harmony or create slight surface deformation, which was considered undesirable for high-end pieces.

All material specifications were originally documented in Cartier’s internal catalogs and communicated to clients at the time of release. The presence or absence of a hallmark on gold accents was therefore a design decision made by the artisan—not an indication of material inconsistency.

This approach is also seen in other luxury items (e.g., certain two-tone Rolex components), where maintaining aesthetic integrity takes precedence over visible stamping.
