This exquisite vintage Cartier lighter was crafted in the early 1970s and represents one of the rarest oval-shaped designs ever produced by Cartier. Executed in solid 925 sterling silver with factory hallmarks, it features hand-applied red enamel, a technique reserved for only a very small number of early Cartier creations. The oval form, combined with the vivid enamel and precious metal construction, places this piece among the most desirable examples from the Must de Cartier era.

Enameling on solid silver is an exceptionally demanding craft requiring multiple high-temperature firings and expert control to avoid warping or oxidation of the silver. Due to the complexity, cost, and risk involved, Cartier produced only a few examples of this model, and the technique was later discontinued. This lighter also features the iconic Cartier crown head ring on the door, further confirming its early production and collectability.

Preserved in outstanding condition for its age, this piece remains fully functional and visually striking, offering both historical significance and everyday usability.

Excellent Condition. Very light signs of age or handling. Clean surfaces and strong overall presentation. Fully functional structurally sound.

This vintage lighter includes a 12‑month working warranty, a rare benefit for pieces of this kind. The warranty covers functional issues that may arise during normal operation and the lighter will be serviced or replaced at no cost if a defect occurs. All service is performed by the specialist workshop in Italy from which the lighter ships. The warranty does not cover wear from regular handling, cosmetic marks, or damage from improper use. After the warranty period, we can provide the workshop’s contact information for future service.
