Cartier produced a limited number of solid silver lighters and gold in the early '70s and some in the '80s. Crafting these pieces required meticulous handwork, as working with solid sterling silver and natural lacquer was an art that took hours. Due to the high production costs, Cartier made only a small batch and never produced them ever again.
