This exceptional S.T. Dupont Gatsby lighter, crafted in 1991, is a rare and highly collectible example featuring the distinctive tortoise shell lacquer hand finish paired with a rich heavy gold construction. Representing one of Dupont’s most refined decorative executions from its golden production era, this model highlights the Maison’s mastery in combining lacquer artistry with precision metalwork.
Each lighter is different, as the lacquer is hand-applied; at the time, none were exactly the same as another one !
Preserved in true excellent condition, the lighter retains its original 1991 tax sticker, confirming it has never been used. With flawless presentation and complete original packaging, it stands as a museum-grade example of vintage S.T. Dupont craftsmanship—now increasingly difficult to source in such untouched state. Without removing the tax sticker, servicing is not possible; it can be removed upon request after purchase for proper cleaning and repair, or kept intact as is.
