This exceptional S.T. Dupont “Jubilé” Limited Edition lighter, crafted in 1991, is one of the rarest Paris‑marked petrol models ever produced by the Maison. Finished in a rich 18K gold‑tone plating, this piece represents a unique and highly collectible period when Dupont briefly returned to traditional petrol mechanisms exclusively for limited editions.

Produced in a strictly limited run of only 1,500 pieces worldwide, the “Jubilé” model is regarded as a true collector‑grade rarity. Its Paris marking further enhances its desirability, reflecting a more exclusive production origin. The combination of classic petrol operation with refined gold finishing gives this lighter both historical significance and strong visual presence.

“JUBILÉ”

In 1941, S.T.Dupont was inspired by a small accessory in one of the travel bags made for the Maharajah of Patiala, and launched its first petrol lighter, the “ligne 1” large model. This lighter with its 6 parallelograms recalled the objects and architecture of the 1930s and quickly became an essential item! Famous the world over, the S.T.Dupont lighter evolved as techniques developed, while retaining its original characteristics.

The limited series “Jubilee” was created to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this lighter. It pays homage to the master craftsmen of the time, to patience and to the fine, delicate work carried out according to traditional methods.

This is a limited line of gold-plated and silver-plated petrol lighters: 1,500 of each.

Near Mint Condition. Exceptionally well preserved with only faint evidence of careful handling. Strong overall presentation and structurally sound.

All service is performed by the specialist workshop in Italy from which the lighter ships. The warranty does not cover wear from regular handling, cosmetic marks, or damage from improper use.
