Vintage 1991 S.T. Dupont Jubilé Early Limited Edition 18k Gold Finish Paris Petrol Lighter Limited to One Thousand Five Hundred Pieces

This exceptionally rare S.T. Dupont Jubilé lighter was crafted in 1991 and represents a landmark release as the first official limited edition produced by S.T. Dupont. Finished in an elegant 18k gold surface and marked Paris, this model embodies the Maison’s highest standards of luxury craftsmanship and historical significance. The Jubilé series holds a special place in S.T. Dupont’s heritage, marking the beginning of its limited-edition production philosophy. Designed as a petrol lighter, it reflects the brand’s traditional engineering approach of the period. Production was strictly limited to only one thousand five hundred pieces worldwide, positioning this example among the most desirable early S.T. Dupont collectibles. This lighter has never been filled and is therefore offered as Mint, preserved in pristine original condition and accompanied by its original presentation box.

“JUBILÉ”

In 1941, S.T.Dupont was inspired by a small accessory in one of the travel bags made for the Maharajah of Patiala, and launched its first petrol lighter, the “ligne 1” large model. This lighter with its 6 parallelograms recalled the objects and architecture of the 1930s and quickly became an essential item! Famous the world over, the S.T.Dupont lighter evolved as techniques developed, while retaining its original characteristics.

The limited series “Jubilee” was created to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this lighter. It pays homage to the master craftsmen of the time, to patience and to the fine, delicate work carried out according to traditional methods.

This is a limited line of gold-plated and silver-plated petrol lighters: 1,500 of each.
