Vintage December 1979 Dunhill Rollagas Heavy Gold Finish Black Natural Lacquer Lighter – Excellent Full Set

This exceptional Dunhill Rollagas lighter, manufactured in December 1979, is a rare early example from one of Dunhill’s most celebrated luxury lighter collections. Beautifully executed in a luxurious heavy gold finish with elegant natural black lacquer panels, this classic Rollagas perfectly reflects the timeless British design and exceptional mechanical precision that established Dunhill as one of the world’s finest lighter manufacturers.

A particularly desirable feature of this example is the original date code “I L” stamped on the manufacturing base, identifying the lighter as being produced in December 1979. This factory date code allows collectors to accurately verify the production period, making this one of the earlier and more collectible Rollagas models.

The rich black natural lacquer provides a striking contrast against the brilliant gold finish, creating one of the most iconic and elegant Rollagas configurations ever produced. The smooth and reliable Rollagas mechanism, combined with its refined proportions and durable construction, has made this model a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts for decades.

Preserved in excellent original condition, this lighter is accompanied by its original presentation box and documents, making it a highly desirable complete collector’s set. The presentation box shows signs of age consistent with careful storage and is graded in fair collector condition.
