The Sovereign Grade Bodiam Archive Collection represents a considered revival of vintage English silk design. Created in collaboration with Robert Keyte and developed from patterns preserved within his Bodiam studio archive, this collection draws directly from a rich history of British textile design.
Situated in the historic village of Bodiam, Robert Keyte’s studio serves as both workshop and archive, housing an extensive collection of vintage silk patterns accumulated over decades. From this archive, select designs have been carefully reinterpreted and woven anew, preserving the integrity, scale, and character of the original motifs while refining them for modern production.
The collection showcases disciplined neat patterns, architectural geometrics, and distinctive woven textures that reveal their depth upon close inspection. Subtle variations in weave structure and surface finish create dimension and visual interest without excess. These ties are designed to complement tailoring with restraint, offering texture and individuality within a composed palette.
Handmade in the United Kingdom as part of our Sovereign Grade line, each tie is fully handmade and hand-slipped, with premium linings selected to ensure a balanced drape and a refined knot. The Bodiam Archive Collection is not simply a new release but a continuation of Britain’s weaving heritage, thoughtfully preserved and reintroduced for today.
