Proper humidity is essential to protecting and preserving premium cigars, but even the best hygrometer is only useful if it is reading accurately. Cigars perform best when stored in a steady environment between 60% and 72% relative humidity, making an accurate hygrometer an important part of maintaining your humidor.
The Boveda One Step Calibration Kit provides a simple and reliable way to test and calibrate digital hygrometers, analog hygrometers, and humidity sensors. Using a precise 75% RH standard, it replaces the traditional bottle cap salt test and provides an accurate reference reading in as little as 24 hours. Even a new or pre calibrated hygrometer should be tested before use to make sure it is reading correctly.
To use, simply place your hygrometer or humidity sensor inside the calibration bag and completely reseal the zipper. Allow it to sit undisturbed for a minimum of 24 hours at room temperature between 65°F and 75°F. If your hygrometer reads 75% RH, calibration is complete. If the reading is higher or lower, note the difference as its margin of error for future readings or manually adjust the hygrometer to 75% RH and repeat the process.
The kit can be reused for up to three months after opening when properly resealed with the Boveda packet inside. For continued accuracy, we recommend recalibrating your hygrometer or humidity sensor every six months.
Do not mix different Boveda RH levels within the same humidor or use Boveda alongside other humidification products, as they can work against one another and reduce effectiveness. Hygrometer not included.
PACKAGING: The B75 Boveda (75% RH) is not individually wrapped inside the resealable high-barrier heavy-duty plastic bag, which has a zip closure.

ACCURACY: Boveda maintains inside relative humidity (RH) of +/-2% when using the recommended number of packets. Factors that adversely affect the expected results include a drafty humidor and/or extreme dry ambient conditions.
