From the Maximilian Foulkes collection of exceptional vintage objects, this remarkable c.1920s cheroot holder by Asprey is crafted from 9ct yellow gold and platinum.
Presented in exceptional condition, the holder features a solid gold body accented by a platinum band and finished with a contrasting vulcanite mouthpiece. Just above the mouthpiece, the body is stamped “9ct Plat Asprey,” identifying both its precious metal construction and celebrated maker.
With an 8 mm aperture, the holder has been ultrasonically cleaned and is ready to be enjoyed with an appropriately sized cheroot. It is accompanied by its original fitted Asprey presentation box with a velvet lined interior, making this an especially complete surviving example.
A refined piece of early 20th century smoking history combining precious materials, elegant proportions, and the craftsmanship for which Asprey is renowned.
