Each hanger begins its life as a single block of wood, hand-planed and shaped to perfection by skilled artisans in Japan. What truly sets it apart is the remarkable hand-painted lacquer work by Okagaki-san, one of Japan’s few remaining masters of traditional Wajima-nuri. Using his own custom-blended pigments, he meticulously recreates the iconic Jermyn Street sign against a detailed brick motif—each brushstroke a testament to his unrivaled craftsmanship.
